"Hi welcome to Expert Village I?m Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. So today we are going to cover this children's toy. This is called a Boppy and what it is, is it's a nursing pillow and it also has a toy bar attached to it so you can use it as an infant, or newborn as they're nursing, and then as they get older and they want to do tummy time and back time they can play with their toys on it. Okay we have lots of options on what we choose to re-cover this with. It?s currently got a nice heavy duty cotton canvas on it which is a good choice and so here's another heavy cotton. The weave is heavy and it's a thicker fabric so it's going to be very durable but it tends to be a little coarse and hard feeling on a newborns skin. So it's good because it's durable but it's not so good because it's coarse. Another choice would be a lighter weight cotton and this is a lighter weight weave you can see through it more and it's a little softer to the skin. It comes in lots of different fashion choices so you can pick virtually any color scheme under the world and that's a really great choice for that. It isn't going to hold up quite as well as the heavier duty fabrics. Another really popular fabric is going to be our flannel. Flannel is a woven fabric and it's brushed cotton on one side so it's very soft to the touch but it's woven so it's pretty durable and this is very nice because it's soft and cuddly. Another really popular fabric right now is called minky. Minky is kind of fun, it's a knitted fabric so it has stretch to it and it has lots of texture to it. This one's just like a, almost a small fur and this one has little dots to it. Lots of texture which is really good for children and really stimulating for the older children. It's also great because it has a little bit of stretch so it's easier to get on and off. And all of these fabrics are great because they're washable and we all know how messy children are. So today we are going to go ahead and go with this pink minky."
