"If someone has a claim they'll call me and say, this is what happened. I'll take down all the information that I can think of to get from them, and then call the insurance company and notify them of the claim or the accident and give them all the information I have. At that point typically the insurance company then deals with the insured and I don't unless the insured calls me and obviously they're welcomed to do that. I mean that's what I'm here for, to help them in any way that I can. But I really don't have any, any business in it, not any business in it but it's between them and the insured. I mean them and the insured and the company. So, I'll do whatever I can and they don't even have to call me when a claim occurs. They can call you know the insurance company directly and I you know claims come through that I don't find out about until I get the paper work from the insurance company saying this has been handled and this is what it is. If you get in to an accident and need to file a claim, obviously the first thing you do is call the police. You most definitely a police report. And when the police officer gets there they will supply you with a police report number that you know, once the report is filed you know, you can retrieve a copy of that from the police department. And that is very important to have. Because if you do not have a police report then you know, it's not going to go very far if you attempt to appeal or whatever. And so when you get the police report then you call your agent or the insurance company directly and tell them what has happened. Be as specific as you can because obviously you know you want everything to go smoothly. That's everyone's you know goal. And at that point they will file the claim. Sometimes they have to send an adjuster out to look at your vehicle to make sure that the damage matches the you know the claim. Sometimes they don't if it's, if it's minor, nine times out of ten they won't. They'll just you know get a bill from your repair company and send them the payment."
