"So if you are looking to learn more about yoga, or perhaps you're interested in teaching yoga, here's a great way to start off. There's an organization called the Yoga Alliance and you can go to their web site, it's www.yogaalliance.org. It's a non-profit organization which has helped compile a list of curriculum and a standardization process for teachers that want to teach yoga. So if you go to their web site you can check out all the different studios in your area that offer teacher training programs that are certified with the Yoga Alliance organization. Once you have a list of studios in your area you can give them a call and they can tell you who's maybe teaching the program. I recommend its a great idea to go to the teachers that are teaching the class. And also to ask what style they offer in their teaching. There's so many different styles of yoga. It's really great to know what style that they offer and what style that you want to teach. So you've got your physical practice, the asana practice, and you'll learn all the basics about the physical alignment, all the names of the different postures. You also get the basic introduction to philosophy. So you'll read the yoga sutras and you'll study the history behind yoga and the philosophy. You'll also get hands on experience with teachers and training so you'll learn how to teach. And you'll practice teaching in front of students. So there's a whole wide range of things that you'll learn in the program."
