Certainly there are some certifications that you can go through, and some schools that you can learn how to become a rock climbing instructor that all do have certain certifications to become a rock climbing instructor or a guide. You can work at a climbing wall industry such as an indoor climbing facility or an outdoor ropes course, and just becoming an employee there will help you learn the skills that you need in order to teach other people rock climbing. There is no industry standard as of yet as far as becoming a rock climbing instructor. They are working on having standards set about for those things, but right now it is very much a casual thing that it doesn't take a lot to at least begin learning how to become a climbing instructor. The most important thing you need to become an instructor is a passion for rock climbing. There is not a lot that you need as far as experience or hours on the wall. It is more your mental ability, and your personality, and how you approach the subject."
