So we have got our equipment, we have got our maps, we are going to enter a tournament. So what tournaments do we want to start with. Well for start tournament fishing there is anywhere from the million dollar tournaments you see on TV to the twenty dollar a night jackpot tournaments that maybe your local club is putting on on a local pond. Maybe ten, fifteen boats. So there is a lot of tournament fishing going on, and it is just depending on what you are comfortable with, how much time you have got to travel, how much you want to spend, if it is all camaraderie you know whatever you want to do there is a lot of stuff to do. But if you want to get going on the major tournament scene definitely start with your local stuff. Try and see how you fare against your local pros on your local lake, and the guys who have been fishing around quite a while. You know fish your local tournaments you start doing pretty good on that then move up more to some more regional tournaments. Get some more experience out of it, get to know the guys, because a lot of guys that are fishing those are fishing the regionals. A lot of guys fishing regionals are fishing the nationals stuff. So there is a lot of things to do, and to move up. Just don't think you have gone out and won a club tournament or something, and you are going to go be the next Calvin Van Damm. It takes a lot of hard work, and a lot of dedication. Now to become a bass pro there is a lot of things to do with that, and a professional bass anglers they have done the same thing. A lot of them have come up through the federations, they have fished a lot of clubs stuff, a lot of regional stuff, and they have had a lot of success, and so they keep moving up, and that is one thing that I will tell you to do. That is how I got to that point started at the club level, did federation stuff, won some western regionals, and then moved up to the national stuff. And so it takes a lot of time and dedication, and to do that.
