Hello my name is Miriam Behar with makeupartistmiriam.com. In this clip I am going to give you some tips on removing blackheads. This process can be a little bit more complicated than the average beauty procedure to do for yourself, but I am going to give you some tips. First you are going to want to clean your hands very thoroughly. Wash them, and then use some kind of hand sanitizer as well containing alcohol. Then you are going to want to put on some plastic or some thin rubber gloves so that you don't injure your face with your fingernails, especially if you have long fingernails. And this also helps to keep your hands clean in case there any little bits of dirt under your nails you may have missed. You don't want to force those into your pores. So first you can just use your fingers, and then in whichever area you have a clogged pore or a blackhead or commonly known as they are called. Just put your fingers on either side, and apply a gentle pressure downward. Don't squeeze towards the blemish otherwise you will force it deeper into the skin. You want to press on either side gently straight down leaving the pore area clear so that the area that is clogged can be removed. You can also do it with a pair of Q-tips. Put your fingers on top of the Q-tips, and then on either side of the area pushing down gently until you have removed the blackhead. You can also do this using a comedone extractor. You can get these at your local drugstore, beauty supply any places like that. The main thing with comedone extractors is to make sure that they are very clean.
