We're going to be looking at warm up exercises to prepare you for your Tai Chi routine. These warm up exercises are to loosen and open meridians and get your energy flowing. We're going to begin with something we call shoulder rolls, where you inhale up as you lift the shoulder, exhale down. Inhale up, exhale down. Inhale up, exhale down. Reverse that, inhale up, exhale down. Good. Then we'll do the other shoulder to balance it. A couple of times, reverse it. Good. Now we'll do elbow rolls, the elbow comes up, over and down. Use your whole body, twist it, to get the elbow up, over and down. And you'll inhale up and exhale down. Reverse that, inhale up, exhale down. Inhale up, exhale down. Other side for balancing. Inhale up and try to keep your hand on your sternum. Inhale up, exhale down. Reverse that, inhale up, exhale down. Inhale up, exhale down. Good. Next we're going to roll the neck. Open those vertebrae along the spine, and just roll it as it's comfortable, don't go too far back or too far to one side. We don't want to hurt anything. Then reverse that motion, good. Next you want to do the waist, so you want to just roll the waist around,as best you can, remembering not to hurt anything. After you've done a few of these, reverse it. Very good. Now bring your feet together, bend your knees and rotate the knees. Reverse that. And then we want to get to the ankles. You'll step out again, and rotate the ankles. Doing this opens the joints, allows energy to flow through and stretches meridians. The same with the other foot. Several rotations in one direction, several rotations in the other. Now you're ready to begin your Tai Chi. Thank you.
