"Hi this is Mark The Shark in Miami Beach, Florida from marktheshark.com. In this clip I am going to show you how to set up a fishing rod when you go fishing in the morning. You've got your rod and reel, you have got your spinning rod in this case. You want to put the reel seat right into the gimbal here, tighten this up, make sure it is really tight otherwise you are going to lose your reel. Nice and tight here, make sure you are on there good. Open the bail up a little bit here. Let's get your line out here. This is a spinning rod so the line comes off the reel pretty easy. Go on all the way up through all the guides here, make sure you get all the guides. You don't want to miss a guide, because you will screw your line up. You will break a fish off for sure. Take all through all the guides. Some fishing rods have more guides depending on how much the rod bends. Make sure you get to the tip of the rod, there you go. Then you close your bail. Make sure you've got your drag pretty loose, you want to break your line off, test your drag a little bit, and then you are ready to go for fishing. After you set up your fishing rod what I like to do is put a double line on here. Just come up here put a little knot in here so we have a little bit of double line on here in case something big hits the rod. There we go one and two. There you go a little double line there. Let's cut this off here. What I want to do is just cut the tag end off of here, ready to go. We don't have any extra line on here. I've got a double line right there. It's nice to have a little double line, a little extra security when you've got a big fish. And then we can just tie it onto the swivel, which I have a swivel on the end of this lure. Tie your knot on here, and you are pretty much ready to go. Double line ready to go. I'm Mark The Shark, thanks for watching."
