"Hi, this is Mark the Shark in Miami Beach, Florida from marktheshark.com. On this clip, I'm going to show you how to clean fishing equipment. Here we have a normal, everybody rod that I use. We have got soap and water right here, a little bit of Dawn. I can put a little bit of bleach in it once in a while, just to cut the salt off of it and I've got a little mitt here, that works really good. Let's get all that, all that soap water, a little bit of bleach in there. Let's get it deep inside there where all the salt tends to sit there all day long. Go on up the rod, all the way up the guide, make sure you get the rollers, all the way up the rod, all the way up to the tip, let it soak on here. Make sure we have got everything, everything done here, there we go all the way down to the butt. Get some fresh water on this right now. Make sure we get everything off, all the salt, all the scales, everything that is on here, bait, there we go. Give it a good rinsing right here, also have some nice lures here. I want to make sure we get all the salt off of them, give them a good rinsing as well, get all the debris off them. I have got some different lures here. I have got a top water lure right there. There we go and then to finish them off with some more WD-40 which works really good on everything and keeps everything good. O'kay, and then your rod and reel, you have got it nice and lubricated for the next day, then you are ready to go. The purpose of cleaning your fishing equipment is because you want to make sure the salt is off all the equipment. It's a corrosive, if it doesn't come off the rod and reel the salt will actually eat away at everything, so make sure you spray everything down and give it a good rinsing and then the next day they will be ready to go for another good day of fishing. I'm Mark the Shark. Thanks for watching."
