"Hello! My name is Rebekah Larimer. I'm an internationally certified horse trainer and instructor, and today I'm going to show you how to properly cinch your saddle on Serena. She currently has a western saddle on her. So, what you're going to do is you're going to lift the stirrup and place it over the seat of the saddle, reach down, underneath across to the other side where the girth is hanging and now you're going to take your girth or cinch strap and place the bottom straps through down through the reign of the girth all the way, nice and flat, bring it back up to the top and then bring the end of the strap back down through the girth ring and then you're going to tuck this underneath so it all becomes very nice and straight and comfortable for your horse. A little bit back up to the top again and then as you tighten, it's easiest to pull up on this last loop that you just made and pull down on this strap at the same time and then you're going to take the end, cross it over the straps that you just made and bring it back up through the loop on the other side, bring the end down through the loop that you just created and pull it until it's snug. If you do have any excess leather, you can bring it back up and down or back up like so, and then you can bring the stirrup back down and you are ready to ride."
