"Hi, I'm Jake Sharp with Sharp Guitar Works in Atlanta. I'm just going to real quickly go over the concept of drop D tuning which is popular these days with heavy music, metal and what not. And it's really simple. You take your, your standard tuned guitar, and you just tune your low E down to D. The easiest way probably is to match that with your fourth string. And what it gives you is just a really low, really low three string set at the bottom that you can use to do riffs and stuff. But now we're going to go with the drop D tuning and just show you real quickly how that's done on the digital tuner. So where we're at E with our six string is our low E in our standard tuning. So we're just going to drop that down to D. It's really simple, one full step. And what it gets you is a really low kind of chunky sound on your lower three strings. Usually done on more like an electric guitar. Which gets you a low sort of metal kind of sound which you guys love these days."
