"We're going to show you a little bit about using a shotgun sling. It's basically pretty simple in most cases if you're in the field I can tell you some people do it a couple of different ways. If you have a long hike that you know you are going to be on you generally will just take this guy up and put it over your shoulder like this, find a good balance point, it gives you good control over it so that you can hang on to it. It won't bounce and bang around a lot but it is very easy to carry. You can put it over your shoulder, you may have to lengthen it a little bit to put it over the top of your head. This is pretty easy, over like that. Some folks like to carry it this way. I'm not real comfortable with this but that's just me. For hiking going distance you can carry it like that. You can switch off. We're not talking of course about tactical sling carry, tactical shotgun carry as in the military and law enforcement that's a different type of sling and a different type of carry. If you're deer hunting and you're set pretty solid you may want to use it the same as you would a rifle sling. You tuck your arm all the way through so it's above your elbow then wrap your forearm around the sling and grab the fore stock of the gun, put it up to your shoulder then bring it in to where it's tight and you'll have tension around your forearm and on your upper arm and the farther you bring your left hand in my case back the more that stock is going to snug into your shoulder and wrap around the more steady you can hold that. So if you are deer hunting with a shotgun that may be the way you need to do it to get that good steady first shot. It may be the only one you have. It will also help you pull that shotgun tight into your shoulder and help reduce the felt recoil. Lock it right now makes it good and steady for a good clean shot and that is pretty much different ways to use a shotgun sling."
