"Hey guys, this is CJ Kendricks, Gotta Dance Atlanta's resident rock star, and front man for CJ and the Chronics. Today I'm going to show you some hip hop foot work, o.k. I got a little combination for you. It's basically simplified movements. Some things I draw from old Motown moves, Temptations, Four Tops, that sort of thing, and others that are very new and very abstract and very contrived to exactly the music we're going to be dancing to today. So, first what I want you to do, you're going to take your right foot, kick it up, as you do that pull your arms in and throw out, o.k...and one. Does that make sense? Once again, that is and one..Going in to the next move, it's just opposite... and two. Now as you do this you're going to alternate back and forth and hop from leg to leg.. And one and two and three and four. O.k., so that's the first part of the combination, your first four steps. Once again, and right and left, and right and left. So it goes, and one and two and three and four. And you're going to step down with your left foot, five, pull in six and just hit seven and eight, o.k. Again, from the top. You're going boom and boom and boom and boom, then step, pull seven and eight. From here, you step out with your left foot, throw a piece sign, bend your right leg, turn your peace sign down to an Atlanta, bring it back up to a peace sign, and put the right foot back on the ground. Again from the top there, adding that part in. Six, seven, eight, and one and two and three and four, boom, boom..six, seven and eight. Peace, down, peace. O.k., from there, the last part of this combination, really simple. Gonna do an old Motown step. Step with your right foot, cross your left leg behind you and throw both arms down straight with a snap. Then to the opposite side, step with your left foot, same thing, cross your right behind you, but this time you're only going to throw down the right arm, boom. Notice each time I cross, I try to angle the feet opposite each other. And you're going to repeat that, boom hit, boom hit, boom hit, boom hit.. all the way until your last step when you take a step with your left and switch your feet. O.k., guys so now that I've shown you your hip hop combination, now it's time for you to see it in action. I've got a special little treat for you today. We're going to do this to my song, with my band CJ and the Chronics called Message from Anna. Check it out. Here we go..five, six, seven, eight. And there you have it. Once again, I'm CJ Kendricks, Gotta Dance Atlanta, and CJ and the Chronics..saying peace."
