"Now we have our Lydian mode and B is th 4th mode of D flat major Lydian B Lydian. So we start G flat 1,2,3,4 we are on B so now we have our B flat scale. Here we have 1,2,3, sharp 4,5,6,7 so it is a major scale with this nice sharp 4 in there. You can hear it gives out this nice floating sound, this is a great scale to use in exchange for your major scale. So if you are soloing over B major or comping in B major you can play B Lydian and it would give rid of that 4th void note and make it a sharp 4 and you can hear how melodically nice that sounds. There is a lot of classic tune if you start right on that sharp 4 so go through and get your Lydian going on. "
