Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Preparing to Cut
    Preparing to Cut

Hold deck face down in your left hand (Or right if that's better for you) and hold up off the palm so that the long edge of the deck is held between the thumb pad and middle finger joints. (This allows room for half the cards to fall onto palm)

  2. Step 2
    Dropping Half
    Dropping Half

Now loosen the pressure on the thumb-cards so that half of the deck falls toward your palm. Do this by bending the tip of your thumb inward and you'll find they fall automatically.

  3. Step 3
    Getting the Break
    Getting the Break

Here's the difficult part: Next you're going to use your index (pointer) finger tip to push the opposite, still raised up side over into the crux of your thumb. To do so, keep your pressure on the cards and bring the index finger down to the edge of the cards as shown in the accompanying photo. There will be a natural break in the cards, allowing you to get your finger tip on the lower half edge of the deck.

  4. Step 4
    Pushing Up
    Pushing Up

Now push your index finger inward, pushing the cards up into the crux of your thumb PAST the upper half of the deck.

  5. Step 5
    Letting Them Fall into Place
    Letting Them Fall into Place

When you've pushed the lower half over past the upper half of the deck, you can allow the upper half of the deck to fall down into your palm as shown in the accompanying photo. The side of the upper deck nearest the thumb will slide down the cards you have just pushed up onto your thumb.

  6. Step 6
    Finish! Finis! Done!!
    Finish! Finis! Done!!

Lastly, simply allow those cards that were originally the lower half of the deck to fall on top by pushing your thumb tip inward. DONE!
