"Hello, my name is Angeline Marie from angelinemarie.net and today we're learning about canvas painting. In this clip I'm going to show you one of the best ways to clean canvas. The reason why I say one of, it depends on what is on your canvas. Here I have two different paintings. This canvas has just acrylic paint on it; this one is more of a collage. It has a built, some star fish and acrylic paint. I have some different items. I have some Q-tips; I have a paper towel; I have just a brush that I picked up at a dollar store and clean clean water. I'm going to start with this painting first. But this painting is very very simple. Get a little piece of paper towel and try a corner first and just very gently, you can ram just a little bit, make sure the water spritz evenly on it and you'll start to see; now this one is basically clean; thank God. But you're just go ahead and you can basically wipe back and forth. Now if you scrub this, acrylic paint does have something in it that make suds; so if you do so; let's try to do this over here. Sometimes you'll get soap suds as if you are using some kind of detergent in your water. Don't panic; just stop, don't scrub. Just very simply keep wiping it down. This one on the other hand is a little different. You might not want to use water on this because you don't know how it's going to react with the paint. Now that's another thing I need to tell you. If you start seeing color on the paper towel, be especially gentle 'cause you don't want the color on the paper towel. You want the color to stay on the canvas. Now on this case I also have the Q-tips just in case the color comes off. You're going to dip that in water 'cause remember this is acrylic paint and you very simply, don't scrub; don't even rub it; just scroll the Q-tip along the edges. And notice the Q-tip is staying clean which is good. Now if you're painting doesn't have some kind of varnish or covering or this is coming clean; Now on this one, I'm going to stop with the water; I'm going to use a bunk up brush just to get the dust off of it. This is Angeline Marie, thank you for watching."
