"Hi, I'm Michael Burton, Executive Producer for Reel Entertainment located in Atlanta, Georgia. We offer full service video production on any project. Now I want to talk to you how to troubleshoot Java for Windows XP. Let me start off by telling you that Windows XP is a registered trademark of Microsoft and I am not affiliated with Microsoft. The best way to troubleshoot Java, if you're having an issue for your Java for your Windows XP is to start with the fresh install. What, the way you're going to do it is you're going to go to your start menu; you're going to go to your control panel. You're going to go where it says add or remove programs so that you can actually remove the, the current Java install. So we're just going to run this; scroll down; we're going to find the Java install. Here goes my Java; this is my update. This is I actually just recently did the most recent one; but we'll go ahead we'll and remove it. So we'll say yes, we want to remove it from the computer. Captured and removing your Java from your computer; go ahead and pull up the java.com website. I've already got this pulled up for you so that you can see where to go. You click on this button in the center that says, "Free Java download", and what it's going to do is it's going to analyze your computer; it's going to tell you what version of update you need. This is saying recommended version is Version 6 Update 14; it's telling you the size and what it works with. You click on the button that says, "Free Java download" and you're going to click either run or save; if you want to save it to your computer. I like to click run and just click run again. Afterwards, do we want to run this software? Yes, we do. And then we will just the install process right here, down the bottom right it says, "Click install". Now it's installing Java onto our computer; this will be the latest updated version for our system. Okay. Now Java has been installed onto the computer and it's walking us through a install setup. Let's go ahead and click. We don't want to install the image into a wireless; click next. It just says it may take a few minutes here. Now once Java is installed, if for some reasons you're having an issue as to, with, with your Java, you may want to try reinstalling a different version instead of the latest. I know that on my Mac computer, I was running Mac OS X Leopard and I had version 10.5 and every time the new, whenever the computer would ask me to update to the new version 10.57 I would update and it will screw up all my programs. And so until I work out the glitzes I'm not going to upgrade to 10.57; I'll say 10.5 but; so if you're having an issue with Java and, and you install the latest one and it's still not working with your computer; try, try reverting back to an older version of Java and see if that doesn't help you and get you up and working. Here we go we'd successfully installed; so we're up and running. Now if you want to make sure that you still have it, you can go to your control panel; click on your add and remove programs and then scroll down to see if Java has been installed and here it is right here. So we've now currently installed. If you're having any other issues; like I said, try reverting back to an older, an older version of Java or try reinstalling the current version again."
