"When you need to cite the actual APA manual things get just a tiny bit tricky if only because we're going to have to say American Psychological Association a great many times. I'm not. I'm just going to write APA. Well, we start with the author which is The American Psychological Association, that's what we call a corporate author. You'll spell this all out I'm afraid. If you are working on a computer spell it all out, highlight it, control C to copy and then you'll just do control V to paste it in where you need it again. The current edition was last revised I think in 2001 and we put the date in there, the publication manual of the control V pasted in, American Psychological Association published in Washington. Now we want to clarify that it's not the state of Washington. It's not Washington Township, New Jersey, Washington, D.C. and the publisher is The American Psychological Association so we've got that big long thing in there three times and a period at the end, whoops, I forgot something, Fifth Edition. The current edition is the fifth and in APA style we do underline or italicize the title of the large form. Underlining and italicization are considered morally the same thing. Fifth edition goes in there. I can't actually imagine why you would need to cite the APA manual but that's how to do it."
