"Hi, this is Eric with The World of Wet Pets Tropical Fish in Portland, Oregon. I'm here to explain how to breed aquarium fish. It's actually not necessarily hard but it's not necessarily simple. The tenets to breeding aquarium fish is giving them exactly what they require so it's a very good idea to do a fair amount of research on the type of fish you are trying to breed, find out what they like as far as the temperature of the water, find out what they like as far as the pH and the hardness of the water, find out what size of aquarium they require, find out what kind of ornamentation, decoration, and habitat they like. Most importantly make sure you give them lots and lots of the appropriate types of food. It takes a really really happy secure fish to breed. In many cases the quantity and the type of food are the keys to getting many fish to reproduce. It's kind of a basic overview but if you follow those practices you should be successful."
