How to Make an 8 pointed origami ninja star

Get 2 pieces of paper. Take one of the pieces of paper, and fold the top down to the right side so that you get a triangle, and a perfect point at the top

Right under the flap you had just made, cut off the excess. This part only has 1 layer, unlike the triangle at the top. If you did this correctly, you should get a perfect square

Fold this square in half vertically, and then horizontally. Unfold your last step, and cut the crease you had just made. Now, you should have 2 strips of paper that each have 2 squares. On both strips, cut down the crease. If you have correctly done this, you should get 4 squares

Repeat steps 1-3 on a second piece of paper. You should now have 8 pieces of paper.

Take 1 piece of paper. Fold it diagonally both ways, as you did in the first step. You should get a triangle with no excess. Unfold, and do it in the other direction. Fold both points to the center of the previous 2 creases. Flip this over, and fold your left side to the right side. Flip the piece back over and press the center of the piece. The bottom should pop up. You will have 3 creased that look like a part of a peace sign. Now take the center crease and the left diagonal crease. Bring the middle crease to the left or right side of the piece. Do it evenly so you do not create a new crease. Push the right diagonal crease from the peace sign pattern down so that you have 2 points on top of each other. I RECOMMEND WATCHING THE VIDEO FOR THIS STEP

Make 7 more so that all 8 pieces are the same.
