Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Clam Shell End Tip

Begin your project by attaching a clam shell end tip to the end of your silk thread. We discuss how to do this in our "How to Use Clam Shell End Tips Article." After your clam shell end tip is secure, tie a double overhand knot behind the clam shell end tip and string your first pearl.

Then make a simple not behind your pearl or bead, by grapping the string with tweezers just behind the pearl. Tighten the knot, sliding it up to, and against, the pearl. Continue this process until you have reached your desired length of necklace or bracelet. We recommend using faux pearls of fresh water pearls on your first pearl knotting project because they are less expensive than cultured pearls.

  3. Step 3
    Filigree Clasp

Complete your project by attaching another clam shell end tip and attaching your filigree clasp by to the ends of each end tip.
