How to Use Curly Hairstyle Finishing Products

"This is Amelia Smith, on behalf of Expert Village, and we'll be talking about the care and styling of curly hair. Now that we have completed the look, I'm going to use some products that are gonna set the look in for the day, and also help support the curls throughout the day. Especially if you're in a low humidity environment, you do have to combat the fact that the curls will start to get lazy through the day. So you're gonna wanna use some sort of pomade-I like a wax or a glossing cream - something with a little bit of hold. And I like to scrunch that in. And that adds separation and shine and frizz-fighting capabilities that your'e looking for. So I'm just gonna scrunch in that product. This is gonna add that separation as well. And you can be a little generous with this product if you want. Next I'm gonna do a little hairspray, and a lot of people don't use hairspray properly. They just spray it all over the head, and all that does is it lays on top and weighs the hair down. What you're really looking to do is add support to the style, so you really wanna spray from underneath and continue to scrunch. You're also gonna get that separation and shine with the hairspray as well. Hairspray also doesn't last all day. It's a lot like a frangrance - it really only lasts about 4 or 5 hours, so you might wanna get yourself a little can to keep in your purse. So I'm just lifting and spraying underneath to add support to her hair. And when you leave the house, you're gonna want your hair a little bit bigger because it will relax. So don't be overly concerned if you can barely fit through the door with your hair. And now you'll be set for the day. "
