"This is Amelia Smith on behalf of Expert Village. We'll be talking about the care and styling of curly hair. It's really important if you are going to use a blow dryer to use a defuser or some other way to block the full speed of the wind coming out of the dryer. What a defuser does it breaks up these holes actually break up the air that is coming out so that it doesn't blow that curl apart. If you hit too much wind against this curl, it's going to bust apart and again it's going to create a bushy hair. What I like to do is especially if you have defuser that doesn't fit your dryer like myself, you just twist the defuser into the hair and then you can turn your dryer on. I recommend a warm and low heat. You just hold it there and move it around and it still works you can just still use those fingers to get that body and curl out of the hair. But you're going to get more volume and more curl if you use a defuser verses scrunching your hair and walking out the door."
