"This is Amelia Smith on behalf of Expert Village and we'll be talking about the care and styling of curly hair. There are a lot of different products you can use on your hair. What you're looking for in a product is something that's going to give support, bundle those curls together so that way you can get that separation and definition. A lot of the products, well some of their best products that I like tend to be more of a creme based consistency and I like the ones that have the fibers. I don't know if you can see that, but as I pull it apart, you can see fibers coming from my hands and what that does, that helps to hold the hair shaft together and bundles those curls and give support. There's also creams that are going to give more moisture to the hair, those are better on drier hair textures, and they're good for just controlling frizz and those dry spots on the ends. There's also a spray gel that's really good for finer hair types and is just a liquefied gel form and again that's going to give hold but this will also give more of that wet crunchy look that some people like and some people don't. Then there's also the shine gels which have a silicone base to them, they have a lot of shine to them and what they do is they actually coat the hair shaft and prevent frizz. Also you're looking at here a cream gel, this is a great one for pretty much any hair type, any curly hair type because you do get the moisture and then also the control of the gel. There's also balms that you can get, curl enhancing balms and they're more like a wax or palmade, these are great for finishing, when you're done with the style and then you can scrunch these in at the end and that will help hold that curl in place. Hairspray's are also another great tool that you can use so don't be afraid of the hairspray you can use that at the end when the hair is almost dry, spray it in and that will help to hold that curl."
