Instructions
  1. Step 1

First you need to go to your local auto parts store and get a can of r134a ac refrigerant. Some come with hoses so you do not have to buy another one. This makes it very easy and less complicated.

  2. Step 2

    Shake the can really well.
Next pop the hood, and look for a blue cap on the ac line, unscrew this and connect the hose from the can of r134.

  3. Step 3

Next start the engine on your car and turn the ac on full blast, all the way cold, and on the highest setting on the blower. Then go screw the knob on the top of the hose connected to the can all the way in and then screw it all the way back out to let the refrigerant flow.

  4. Step 4

Sometimes it helps if you shake the can while it is sucking it down into the ac system.
Once the can starts to get cold, it is working, when the can feels really light and starts to get warmer then it is finished.
Go on the inside of your vehicle and feel if the ac starts to get cooler.

  5. Step 5

If you have a leak, auto parts stores also sell leak sealers that seal small leaks. If you have a huge leak it might be a cut hose, seal on the ac compressor.

  6. Step 6

If your ac does not get cold and the clutch is not engaging on the ac compressor it might be the ac compressor clutch, you can have this replaced or buy a whole new compressor setup.
