"If your grass is patchy, mow the lawn. There are better places to spend your cash than the barber. Trim before you shower, and shampoo before you shave. Then lather with some shave gel to help moisturize and hydrate your scalp. Use smooth light strokes and shave from front to back while shaving the sides of your scalp. Using a mirror while shaving the back of your head will help you see what you're doing. Use upstrokes letting the razor do the work and rinse often. Feel your scalp and if you notice any missed spots re-lather before shaving again. Moisturize after shaving and continue to do so on days you don't shave to help prevent dryness and flaking.
