"Hello there, I'm Ralph Papa from papagallery.com, and today we're learning how to draw. In this clip I'm going to show you how to draw people from the side. But before we start, I usually like to draw facing the front and I'm making an oval about the size I want the face. And usually the eyes are about right in the middle of their head so I'm just going to put where the eyes would be, put the eyes there. And the nose is usually just about one and a third eye width and then we'll sort of put his mouth here like that just suggesting the mouth. And the ears are just around the eyebrow and they come down to about the bottom of the nose. So here we have a person with a profile there. Now when we do the side profile we're going to do the same height across and the chin is over here. And now we're going to bring their head down to there, the nose is on the same level here so we're going to bring the nose out like that. Then you have the little space under the nose to the top lip and then the bottom lip, like that, same level as the bottom lip there and then you're going to have the chin out like that. So basically we're going to have now, the profile of a person almost like this. And you can put the eyebrows in and you have the eyebrows here, and the ear is back here, and here is basically our profile. You'll notice that the lips are on the same line, the nose is on the same line, the eyes are on the same line, and the top of the head. Incidentally, the eyes are usually right in the middle of the head, the distance between here and the top is the same as the distance between here and the chin. And the distance from here to the back of the ear is that same distance, it's almost working out that the average person is split up that way in those distances. So there we have a drawing of a profile from using the face on the straight on. This has been Ralph Papa, and thank you for watching"
