"Hi, this is Stacey and in this video you will see how to make a toddler busy book. For our first idea for your busy book is to go on line and print coloring pages and there are various websites and you can pick you're favorite character that your kid enjoys. Another idea for a page is to make a shoe lace threading game and I already went on line and printed a shape. Now that we have our shape the first step is to cut it out. Now we're going to punch some hole in the shape, it is best to use thicker paper because it will get bent up with the kids. Punch a few holes you don't want too many, then after you punch your holes take a shoe lace and your kid will just practice putting them through the holes. Another idea for a page is matching. I went ahead and just took some foam shapes and taped them to a paper and you want to trace them so they know where to put them. You also can cut shapes or do pictures and then you'll have the kids just match them where they go. You can do it with colors or shapes or letters and this is just another idea for a page. This is an example of the same idea of matching. However, to change out your pages in your book I used the same concept but I made them like Christmas, and then you'll want go ahead and trace the objects so they'll know where to place them. But this will keep your busy books the same but change it up so they can use and learn different shapes or colors. The last idea I have for a page is a touch page, you'll just find different objects in your house and tape them to a page and this is easy to switch out and add new objects. Now that we have created all our pages we have now put them in a binder for our book. I have just hole punched them and this one has a folder for like the shoe lace that won't fit very well. Also with a busy book you need to make sure that all the materials are within the book, so the crayons for coloring and the shapes are in a bag. And this will allow you to change the pages when your child is ready to move on."
