"Hello, my name is Ralph Papa of papagallery.com and today we're learning about acrylic painting. In this clip I'm going to show you how to paint flowers and in this case I'm going to be putting flowers on some lily pads in this pond. Well to start with it, I'm going to sort of mix a stem that I can come up with and I'm taking a little bit of yellow ochre and some raw umber just to get a little color so that I can create a stem that's coming up or from under the water somewhere and have some stems there, one here, maybe like that. Another one coming up from here and here. And we might even put one; in the very foreground it might be somewhere around here, okay. So here we have some stems; now we're going to put a couple of this, not having the flower open but more just a bud on the top and we'll place just a couple like that but they're not fully open. And then we'll have some that will be opened and we'll just going to put a little bright yellow center on it; like, we'll have one it's here with a bright yellow center and maybe one right here with a bright yellow center and we'll put one off to the side. Now I'm going to take very nice pretty violet purple and we're going to put some leaves, you know, in the end to that, just suggesting that they're opened up; and we'll throw one here. As it gets little farther away, you won't have as much detail; you more or less just have a blended in with a little color around it. We can put another one here, just that, maybe it's on the side and you're not get a full view of it. But there you have just a couple of highlights with some stems coming up off the lilies under, from under the water and a little purple on it. We can also use one that might have a little red in it and put one over here with a beautiful red outside on it. I'm Ralph Papa and thank you for watching."
