"Hi, I'm Robin with Images of Austin here in Austin, Texas. Visit us on the web at imagesofaustin.com. Hi, today I'm going to show you how to frame a canvass print. Now a canvass print is a print, a paper print that's been adhered to a piece of canvass that's normally comes already stretched for you; like this one, on stretcher bar. I've already cut and built a frame for this one and I'm going to show you how you attach a canvass print into the frame. What we're going to use is we're going to use these things called offset clips. They have a hole in them, put a screw. This is to hold the canvass into the frame. General, I probably would put oh an offset clip every six inches or so depending upon how big it gets and that should be plenty. I'm using my drill; I'm going to put screws all the way around. Okay; now your canvass is very secure with these offset clips. Now all we have to do is finish the back and add a wire and we'll be done. Again, I use double stick tape. Now I'm going to place the dust cover over the back of the picture and I'm going to attach each side and work my way out to the corners. Now I'm going to trim the excess off. Okay, now we want to be sure and cut a nice breathing hole for your canvass. It can be any hole; just be careful not to punch your blade through too far; it might reach your canvass print. You just want your canvass to be able to breathe if it had any changes in temperature or humidity within the room. You don't want it to have a different temperature with inside behind this paper and in front of the canvass 'cause it can make the canvass get a little wavy, sag a little bit. It's just to ensure that your canvass is going to stay looking nice for years to come. The next thing, the last thing that we want to do is attach the wire to the back of it. The first thing I want to do is I want to kind of measure down about a third of the way from the top of the picture. That should be about three and a half inches. Now the next thing you want to do when you make your wire is you want to attach these little hooks with the screw. Okay. You get a piece of wire and you're going to want to run it through one side. And I put these little sleeves. This is a cable system wire. You could also use a twist wire. Okay, now we're going to cut the excess wire off. Okay, well that's how you frame a canvass print. My name is Robin Doerr; you can come to me here at Images Of Austin. Please find a good framer and don't forget hang the picture straight. Thank you. Have a great day. Bye."
