"Hello, I'm Sherie Tengbergen here at the Education Network in Palm Beach County and we're here to learn about water color painting. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to paint watercolor lace. Now I have here a doily, and you can get doilies at the store, they come in all different sizes. And what I did, is I laid this doily down on a piece of watercolor paper and I painted into it with my liquid Maskoid here, and that actually preserves the white of the paper. Now it's important when you put your brush in Liquid Maskoid, first you put it in dishwasher soap, so that the liquid Maskoid will eventually come out. Let me show you up here, what I did. I'll take some of this liquid Maskoid and very gently fill in the holes. And you can use any part of the lace that you want to, just make sure that you hold it down, and fill in those parts that you want. And carefully remove it and then you need to let it dry, and if you've missed some spots, you can come back in with your brush, and just fill those in a little bit to fix them up. Now I have a section here that's almost dry, you can tell when it's dry because it will lose some of it's shine. And you really want to make sure that your brush, your liquid Maskoid area is dry because otherwise, you will get that particular Maskoid on your brush when you paint the color on it. And you don't want to do that because you don't want to ruin your brush. Now I'm going to take some blue, Windsor Blue with water and I'm just going to very gently paint over this section. And I'm sort of avoiding those wet areas, and I'm filling this in, in and around. And then I'm going to make sure that these areas are nice and dry, that the paint is nice and dry. And then I'm going to come back in with my finger and I'm going to rub away the liquid Maskoid. This is Sherie Tengbergen and thank you for watching."
