"Hi! My name is Dane Teixeira, the president of the Broward County Darting Association. We're here at Archies West Practice Facility talking about playing darts. Let's talk about dart regulations and let's start with the beginning. Dart games are begun by fingering out whose going to play first. We do this by having each player throw a dart at the bull's eye. The closest dart to the bull's eye is the winner and that person gets to play first. That's how you determine how a game starts. There are many different rules about how to play darts and regulations but I wanted you touch on a couple of more important ones here but dart point, darts are scored at the point where the point enters the board because there has been times where it point into the board but the points ends up on the other side. Well, it's where enter the board the dart score counts. So, that's just one of many different rules. There are starting and finishing games. Finishing games are too easy. There's a game of 501 which starts at 501 points and ends up at zero. How it ends up at zero is the player must end by hitting a double which is one of these. For example, if a player has 20 points left in a 501 game 'cos he's already scored 481 points through various combinations. He, his dart must hit this area to end the game. If it doesn't hit that area, if it hits here it means he's got half of the score left which is 10 so he's got to hit that double 5 left and any sort of combination of which they can end this 20 points is where his game will end."
