"Hi! My name is Dane Teixeira, the president of the Broward County Darting Association. We're here at Archies West Practice Facility talking about playing darts. In this clip, I'm going to give you dart tips for beginners. First of all, this is our standard dart board here that we use which is used worldwide, internationally and as well as in the United States. But I'll only just explain this dart board for beginners. The outer ring here is called a double ring which every number scored in this outer ring scores double to the number that is written on the outside. The inner ring is the triple ring. Obviously, the number scored here scores triple wherever the number is that's on the outside. This is the single bull's eye which is in green and the double bull's eye which is in red. Now, for a beginner, the first thing I would have them do is get a three darts inside the dart board and once they can do that consistently then have them practice getting through darts inside the triple ring. Now, it's important to get for a beginner is stands correct. So, you have to make yourself comfortable however you do it. If this is the way you're comfortable with your legs in this position throwing a dart and that is that is fine. If you go to this stance then there is nothing wrong with that or any variation in between as long as you are comfortable. If however you find yourself with your opposite forward which would be your left foot and you being a right hander then you are doing the wrong thing. You need to at least have your legs parallel if not have your non-throwing leg behind the throwing leg. Once again, this has been Dane Teixeira, thank you for watching."
