"All right, if you ever wondered how to use an airless spray gun I'm going to show you right now. If you're going to decide on what you're going to spray; what size fan do you want, from a small fan to a very large fan. You're going to go high volume or low pressure or low volume, whatever you're going to do. It depends on how, on the type of material; if it's stained or if it's heavier like a hundred percent acrylic flat paint, something like that, you need to adjust how much reduction you're going to do on it so that it doesn't finger on you. So, I have a 415 tip on here right now which is an eight inch fan, fifteen inches away, okay. I'm going to charge the line. Then, I'm going to show you how to use the gun and how to spray a piece of cardboard. The whole action on spraying is try not to arc your wrist. Always keep the gun ninety degrees to the surface that you're going to spray. You can turn the fan around so that you can spray it this way up and down, or you can turn it to spray this way. You want to spray ninety degrees to the surface. You want to overlap your pass each time fifty percent, and then you want to come back and crosshatch it, and I'm going to show you how to do that. Right now I'm going to charge the system and I want to spray this cardboard behind me. Okay, to adjust an airless spray gun it's not like a conventional or a compressor type spray gun. This is has no material valve or knob on it, or an air knob on it. This is strictly high pressure. It's a hydraulic pump. The way to adjust the pressure on this airless is how much pressure or how much push you're going to have with the hydraulics. This is the knob right here and you would just adjust it to increase the pressure. If you wanted to change due to type of material you're using you would go with a reversa tip, different sizes. Reversa tips are come in various sizes; everywhere all the way from 211 to a really small like tip for varnish and clear stains, clear coats, things like that, all the way up to the big reversa tips like a 1213, 1227 for elastomerics and that. What I have in my hand here is like 515's, 617's, 413, 519; that's the various sizes. That's the only way to adjust the actual airless gun itself is by adjusting the pressure on the pump, and changing the tips, and doing a reduction of the material. The way to adjust a power roller is just by the pressure off of the airless itself. You can cut it down to when you pull the trigger it's not going to give you a lot of pressure of paint. So, that's the only way to adjust a power roller. You can adjust the amount of paint you're putting on by changing the nap of the roller. This one right here is like a half inch nap roller. You can go to a inch and a quarter, a really fat roller, for heavy textured stucco."
