"Hi! I'm PGA member Jay Golden and this is how to fix an outside-in slice. You see when you want. Ow, slow down and that's one of the reasons why people do an outside-in slice because you see the ball and all you get to the top you swing and all at one hit and you come right across it. The outside-in slice means when you come into the ball, the club head is going it comes back on one plain and it goes outside that plain and goes left and the main reason for that happening is that you so like to hit the ball, you get to the top you swing and you want to hit it and as a result you don't use your body. You just get to the top of your swing and you're so anxious you take the path of least resistance from here which is that and you know what happens when you do that? It locks your hands so they can't turn over so that when you go across like this, see my hand, they're locked, they're locked, they're locked and the club face is wide open while the club is moving to the left and that puts the slight spin on the ball, the outside-in slice. The main way to correct it is to slow down and also to have an awareness of where you want to swing. If your target is a twelve o'clock, you want it swing to one o'clock maybe two o'clock. Those of you that played baseball, you know where the pitcher is? You want to swing that club head at the second basement, not at the short stop, the outside-in slice, the club head is going towards the short stop. So, the way to correct the outside-in slice, slow down, swing at the second basement and play the ball a little further back in your stance. It's much easier with the ball in the middle as opposed to on left. Outside-in slice, settle down, swing at the second basement, play the ball a little further back in your stance and hopefully that ball is now going to start to the right and hooking back at the target."
