Let's talk a little bit about the overall success rate after knee replacement surgery. Knee replacement surgery is an excellent surgery that can afford excellent results in properly selected patients. Results are over a 90% success rate at ten years with some implants less than 15 and even 2 years. The knee replacement surgery does an excellent job in eliminating pain and allowing for a return of function. Sometimes after knee replacement surgery patients have questions for their doctor such as do they need antibiotics prior to dental or neurological type procedures. It is important to consult your physician prior to these procedures to see if antibiotics are necessary. Knee replacement surgery often yields excellent outcomes in properly selected patients.
