"Hi. This is Bill Coulter at Fort Lauderdale Archers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Let's talk a little bit about the equipment needed for bow hunting. Obviously you do need the bow. Which would consist of a bow sling to make sure the bow's not going to come out of your hands. The arrow rest for the arrow to ride on. A stabilizer. Which really does help balance out the bow, take out any shock. And of course your site for aiming. Good camouflage also really does help so when picking out your camouflage you really want to be aware of your surroundings. And you want to be as covered as much as possible. Gloves, face mask, anything that makes you comfortable. But you want to have full advantage of whatever you will be shooting. Arrow selection, again is key. You don't want a mismatched arrow, as in, you could injure your prey if a good shot is not made. Broad heads whether it is going to be a fix blade or an expandable, whichever you're comfortable with, is really preferred, because you will get the penetration needed to kill your shot. Once again, the main thing you're going to need is the bow. That is the key point. And if you're going to be tree stand hunting you're going to want a good stable tree stand. Budget has a real factor when it comes to hunting in the archery field. Like I said, you do get what you pay for when it comes to equipment. But you can resort to a little cheaper method as far as with a bow depending on how much you want to go with. Tree stands can be anywhere from $50 to $500 depending on what you want to do. As far as your clothing. I mean if you're hunting down here in Florida all you need is a t-shirt and a pair of camo pants. You can get it, pick it up at Bass Pro, anywhere you want to for little to nothing."
