"Hi, I'm Dave Zarco with USA Badminton and I'm here at Don Shula's Athletic Club in Miami Lakes, Florida. In this segment I'm going to give you some badminton tips. First of all, during a rally, whenever you can you try to take the shuttle at its highest point. Meaning, instead of taking it down here, reach up as high as you can. Whenever the shuttle is up this high, hit it up this high; don't let it drop because from up here you can do more shots compared to down here, because the net is five feet hight. So when you're taking it down here your only shot is up and if you're hitting up, that's a defensive shot. So take it at its highest point which means reach up as high as you can. Now the other thing is, is you need to keep working on your footwork when you are going for a shot; that means always end whenever you can with your racket foot. Now also, when you are making a drop shot; when you come to the net to make a drop shot, even though you have been told to use your wrist on all your shots; when you do a drop shot, this is one of the rare instances where you don't really use your wrist. And Danleigh over here will show; you will hold the racket fairly tight and you just let the shuttle bounce off the springs. Just put your racket up here and; and if you'll notice, all he did was let it bounce on his string. So don't use your wrist that much with drop shots. Keep one thing in mind with drop shots, your wrist is your enemy. So those are the tips that you know, you should keep in mind when you are playing and also just try and relax and have fun. You have more time than you think. I'm Dave Zarco with USA Badminton, thank you for watching."
