"Hi, this is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo from drloretta.com, board-certified dermatologist and author of "Six Weeks to Sensational Skin". Let's talk about LED light therapy for skin. You may have heard of LED machines or light sources which are basically panels which some dermatologist have in their office and there has been some promising research done that says that if you go in for a series of light LED treatments, where you're sitting in front of a panel of this light source, you may see some nice anti-aging improvement in your skin, but more recently than the panels, we are starting to see manufacturers who are selling hand held devices of LED that you can purchase typically for a few hundred dollars, sometimes at cosmetic counters or online. The party line among dermatologists is that these are much weaker sources of light and it will at least take you a longer time to see results and you may not see quite as dramatic results. So if you want to do this kind of thing please make sure that you are one of these buyer beware people. Don't rush out and spend the money until you have some good verification that the product will work for you."
