"Hi my name is Chris Dupre and I am an electric guitar instructor and in this segment we are going to be talking about how to sweep pick on the guitar. Sweep picking is really kind of what you might call a glorified rake technique and the rake technique being like this, kind of dragging your pick across the strings in order to accent a note. That's pretty common in a lot of lead playing but sweep picking is a combination of that as well as fretting the notes and in this case I will do a sweep arpeggio, o'kay. Now what I did was as I was dragging my pick across the strings just like in the rake technique I was fretting notes. In this case about one note per string sometimes two. As you can see I am just kind of going all in the same motion and on the way back sweeping back across with a little practice and some patience that could come off really nice and clean, o'kay and that's a little about sweep picking right there."
