"Hello my name is Erin Carter, and I am an aquatic biologist at the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco. And I've been an aquarist here for five years, I'm scuba certified, and I have a degree in marine biology. Well the beluga whale is an apex predator in the arctic marine food chain. They feed mostly on herring, and cod, salmon, and other arctic fishes. And then those fish feed on plankten, shrimp, crill, but there are polar bears and both human hunters that can sometimes take over as the apex predator in the arctic marine life cycle."
