Hello. My name is Dr. Robert Hernandez. I'm a psychologist in Miami, Florida, and I'm president and owner of Lafafala Retreat House. Have you ever dreamed with someone that has passed away, a loved one, a friend, and what does that mean? Are they really coming in and speaking to you while you're asleep? It depends, really, upon the person's culture, how they're going to interpret that. Generally speaking, a person that is dead means that these are the aspects of that person that you've absorbed into your unconscious. It's an interjection. Instead of projecting it, you have actually absorbed parts of them into your psyche. What is it about that person that you like, that you dislike, that's important to you? And once you figure out those elements, or the essence of that person, how does that relate to you consciously? What is it about your daily life that they can help you with, or answer questions, support you in your walk as you go about your day? These are the questions that I generally ask with a client or patient that's presenting with a dead person in their dreams. Some people think it's their loved one that has passed away trying to make contact. That can also be helpful to resolve a lot of issues, as well.
