"Hi! I swim for Eagle Aquatic Team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, I'd like to talk to you about how to teach swimming. I think the best ways to teach swimming is always to keep positive, positive feedback to your swimmers, for whatever age group. Also, the best way is teach by example. Tell them if they're doing right, not if they're doing wrong and show them how it's done. I think start with the basics and move up from there. They need to first learn how to breathe and how to do a right kick and how right arms and they put it all together. Then, after they have the basics and a good foundation, they're going to add on to it and get good technique for racing and anything else they'd like to use that something for. The most important thing if there are any kids, you gotta make that their water is safe and comfortable in the water. Just to let them get used to the different sensations and different feelings and their comfortable. As they get more and more advanced, you can add on more complex drills and exercises that will help strengthen their base and drills are really good because they can learn the correct movements so that they can add together while they're putting as a whole."
