"Hi! I'm Chris Bradford from Mad Dog Cycles in Orem, Utah. Today, I'll be talking a little bit about how to ride a BMX bike. There's lots of different ways riding a BMX bike. It's kind of only limited to your imagination, you can do whatever you want. A BMX is bikes with 20 inch wheels. They've been popular since about the late 70s. The first type of BMX is really kind of grown since about the late 80s, early 90s. In order to get started in free style BMX, you're going to need a bike. Make sure that you get a good quality bike. Have a go at your local bike shops, see what they have there, see if you can get a decent bike that'll be good for your needs. You know what, good safety equipment, helmet, gloves, pads, things like that to help protect you as you learn how to ride a BMX bike. As you learn how to ride, you can develop skills with different tricks. There's lot of different tricks you can do. Here are a few of my favorites. One of them is a foot jump. So, you stick your foot in a tire and go up just a little bit and then you can land and roll out backwards. That's a good trick to learn to start out. Another good trick that you can learn is a 180. This one takes a lot more practice. It's probably something that you're going to want to learn after you've been riding for a little while. Here's what it looks like. So, they're two of my favorite tricks but you can learn whatever kind of tricks you want, just keep practicing, keep riding and have fun."
