"Hola! My name is Priscilla Monserrate-Sanders and I am the founder of the Hola School. Today, I'm going to demonstrate how to roll those R's. The rolling of the R sound is actually called a trill because of the way the vibrations smooth through your tongue. Think about that flirtatious sound that flirting sound rrrrrrrrrr. That's if you've master that, you can you've master the rolling R's of the Spanish language. So, really what you're doing is producing a purring sound. As you put extra force as you ex hale the purring sound starts to sound like this purrrrrrr, purrrrrrr, by keeping your tongue firm and the tip of your tongue lose and allowing a little more pressure of air passing over your tongue as you say, as you pronounce the R's. So, without this you're saying purr but if you put a little more pressure on the air passing over your tongue it will begin to flutter which is what you want it to do, purrrrrrrrr. Try that over and over purrrrrrrr purrrrrrrrr, and that is how you get the rolling R sound of the Spanish language. Let's try some words. Dog in Spanish is perro, perro. If you were simply making the purring sound in the R you would say perro perro but with that fluttering sound it would it becomes perrrro, perrrro. And how about add a few words like, El perro correr. The dog runs. El perro correr or if you really want to challenge yourself, try, The dog runs on the train tracks. El perro correr en el ferro carrera. Say it faster, El perro correr en el ferro carrera. One more time, El perro correr en el ferro carrera, and you've got a tongue twister."
