"Aloha, my name is Nalani, and we are here at the Mai Kai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this clip we are going to show you how to make a Hawaiian lei for boys. There are many different kinds of leis, there are feather leis, and candy leis, but right now we are going to show you how to make a Hawaiian lei for boys. Let's show you some of the supplies that we need. First I like to use yarn, because it is a lot softer. And we need a scissors for the yarn, and we use tea leaves for the base. We have our flowers, which can be any kind of flower that you like, or that is available. And any kind of leaves, we can use fern, I just pick this because this was available to me. So let's start to make our Hawaiian lei for boys. First thing we are going to do is take our tea leaf, we are going to take out the bone from the tea leaf. Just clip it with the scissors, and you push it out. And you pull off the hard part of the leaf. Then you can just discard this. And you get our leaf, and tear it right down the middle in half. This is going to be the base, it doesn't have to be perfect, but this is going to be the base of your lei. The next thing you are going to do is take a piece of your yarn, and you don't have to cut it off of the whole skein of yarn. Tie a knot at the top, and then you are going to get your flower. You take a flower and you leave the stem on, because that is the part that is going to stay on the base of the tea leaf. Get your yarn and you wrap it around the stem. Just a couple of times to make sure it is secure. Then you are going to get a leaf, and I like to fold it, and like leave a little bit of a curl, then I will cut off the harder end over here. Lay it on top next to the flower, and make sure that there is enough going down the base of the leaf. Then you continue wrapping your yarn. It doesn't matter that all of this is extra, because that is going to be wrapped as you go along. Once you have repeated this process all the way down the leaf you are going to have a beautiful Hawaiian lei for boys. This has been Nalani from the Mai Kai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, thank you for watching."
