"Aloha, my name is Nalani, and we are here at the Maikai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this clip we are going to show you how to make a penny lei. There are many different kinds of leis, there are carnation leis, and there are feather leis. But in this case we are going to show you how to make a penny lei. A penny lei is exactly what it sounds like, it is a lei that is made with pennies. Here are the supplies that you are going to need to make your penny lei. First we need your cellophane, which is precut to the measurement of the length of the lei that you want to make. Next we have our scissors, and we also have precut curling ribbon. So let's being to make our penny lei. First you are going to need to lay your cellophane flat, on a flat surface. And you grab a bunch of pennies, and you space them out. Get your cellophane, and you fold it over the pennies, and you take the other side and you fold it over again to make a tube. Make sure that it is tucked in good so that your pennies don't fall out. Next you are going to get a piece of the precut curling ribbon, slide it under in the space, and you tie it into a knot. And then a double knot to make sure it is secure, get your scissors and you curl the ribbon. And you are going to do this process in each space between each penny of the pennies. After you have finished putting the ribbon on all of the spaces between the pennies you will end up with this beautiful penny lei. This has been Nalani from the Maikai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, thank you for watching."
