"Hi Craig Collette with Equity Real Estate here in Salt Lake City, Utah part of the Collette team. So what is a real estate attorney? Well first of all I want to emphasize that every state has different state laws on real estate. And so a real estate attorney would be somebody who goes to law school, studies and emphasizes real estate in that state, understands the rules and regulations of that area. And then goes on and becomes a real estate attorney. Passes state law at the state board, and then goes forward. I want to emphasize as well though the importance of a real estate attorney. We are dealing with contracts every single day. A lot of these contracts are developed by these real estate attorneys and we are constantly going to them for questions, and advice on exactly what we should put, and how it should be structured. In a business where it is all about contracts we are constantly going, finding out, talking to the legal hotline what exactly needs to happen, and how does the deal need to be structured to make it work so that both party's are happy. And that's really kind of the goal behind the whole entire real estate process, and the goal behind the real estate attorney. Make sure that everybody is happy, and that everybody is taken care of, and that nobody is wronged."
