"Hello today I'm going to talk about what is the definition of a control unit. The control unit is the basic circuity inside the processor that controls the flow of information through a processor. And it varies greatly from architecture to architecture but basically what it will do is it will take the information and process the information for the core CPU. The function performed by the control unit vary from CPU to CPU but the basics are the control unit performs the tasks of fetching, decoding and distributing or managing the execution of the information needed by the rest of the system. So basically the control unit controls the processor which in turn controls the rest of your CPU. And that's the definition of a control unit."
