"Hi, my name is Marc Mencher, president of GameRecruiter.com and we're here at Dark Side Games Studios in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Qualifications to become a video game designer are mastering the English language in verbal and written ability. You must really be able to write correctly and clearly. You're communicating not only to an entire development team, but you also have to make sure that the project is focused and correct. Also editing, level editors are important to learn. Me, in a 3D Studio Max, there's MEL script. In Maya, we have MEL scripting. Those two are the major scripting languages we use. Of course, there's Luau and some other scripting languages. Basically, a scripting language is a scripting language, so you want to learn what you can and then be able to apply that to a, to game design. Video game designers responsibility is to make sure the game is fun and there's a lot of playability and interactivity going on. If you're spending millions of dollars to make a game and it's not fun, it's not going to sell. It's a very important job."
